you may find this type of snakes on stone slabs in many places but there is one thing very important about this particular snake god. This was placed by my great grand father (maternal side) on the banks of the lake in Mudupalli near Nagari. He (my Great Grand father) was a very pious man and great astrologer. It is said he had the vakku sakthi, ie., is his words came true. Many such slabs kept for various purposes on the banks of the lake were removed by the local people. But when they tried to remove this particular one the person was afflicted with unknown illness. When this happened on more than one occasion, the local people thought better to leave it as it is. So goes the story. The whole place was properly cleaned by my cousin and a slab was built on which the snake god stands now. I pray to my God to bless us all and give us peace and happiness in this life.
