unusual visitor camps in the dhoti

A tiny, black, fluffy bat chose to spend the night in the dhoti I had hung outside my house. It either overslept that it could not signal its mother or it was on its own and lost. Fearing predation by crows, I did not shoo it and let it spend the day outside. As soon as night set in, it took flight!

The few snap shots of this Pallava-period-temple(probably) werte taken at VITTALAPURAM on 29-6-2013. The weather was cloudy, the sun playing hide and seek. This temple is 17kms from Mahabalipuram on the ECR. A very nice and well maintained temple. The main deity is Lord Sri Krishna with his consorts Rukmani and Sathyabama. Of late the temple is attracting some crowd, at least during weekends. The last two photos were taken a few kms before Vittapuram at Poonthandalam, where you will find this beautiful Anjaneya temple.

Manoranjitham

Manoranjitham flowers, very popular for their intoxicating fragrance. One flower in full bloom in a room and you can smell it all around the house.

This is the card from my students. I'm very happy that they have learnt to comment so nicely in English. They have marked the cover to the 'Best Tutor'. I know there are better teachers, but this I take it as a positive note of encouragement from my students that I'm moving in the right direction. Thank you my friends, thanks a lot.
